A Naruto Christmas

   Part 4 of 4


***An hour later***

Naruto was jumping for joy all the way back to his place. He couldn't believe Sakura just kissed him. He was so lost in his thinking that he forgot to go to the store. So he dashed out of his apartment and headed to the store. He wasn't going to a cheap store for Sakura's present, he was heading to a fancy store.

"I cannot believe she kissed me. It wasn't on the lips though, but i don't care. It's still something." Naruto talked to himself as he madly dashes to his destination.

Since Naruto is going to have Sakura coming over, he had to decorate and clean up his place. So he had to go to 3 places; the fancy place, a regular store, and a Christmas tree place.

It took him 1 and a half hours to go to all of these places and return home. He bought his present for Sakura, wrapping, ornaments, and a 7 x 2 tree. He had to be swift to complete all of this. Naruto thought of a idea, he can use shadow clones to do all the other things besides wrapping the present. He will take care of the wrapping while the other clones took care of the rest of the stuff. It was 6:45 PM before all of it was done. "Any time now." Naruto said to himself.

***30 minutes eariler***

Sakura was all ready to leave. She had her coat on and other stuff. She thought since Naruto given her a gift eariler this month, she took the time to buy Naruto one as well. "I hope he likes what i got him." As she said that she heads off to Naruto's house. She had once been at Naruto's house, but it wasn't for a visit. It was more like a message to come to the hokage's office. So she knew where Naruto's house was. It took her 40 minutes to arrive. She notice that his door had a wreath on it. "He decorated? Well looks like i made it in time." She knocked on Naruto's door.

***5 seconds later***

Naruto heard a knock on the door. "C-coming!" Naruto said with glee. He walked to the door and opened it. "Merry Christmas, Sakura-chan!" Naruto said merrily. Sakura nodded. "Merry Chirstmas to you too, Naruto." Sakura said as she embraced Naruto with one arm behind Naruto's head and had her face touching Naruto's. Naruto instantaneously blushed bright red. "Mind if i take your coat to guest closet?" Sakura nodded and Naruto took her coat and other winter clothes to the closet and hanged it up. "That's very gentlemen like of you Naruto." Sakura's eyes widened as she takes a closer look at Naruto's living room. It was fully decorated, tree and all. "You did a very good job at decorating the place, did you do this for me?" Sakura asked politely. "Of course, Sakura-chan. How long are you going to be here? Cause i cooked dinner. Want some?" Sakura was shocked, Naruto cooked Christmas dinner. "I was thinking the whole night. I mean if that is okay with you?" Sakura turned a minimal pink. Well Naruto was really blushing bright red big time. "T-That's fine with me." Naruto smiled.

"What's for dinner?"

"Everything, this is banquet. You can have anything. I have shrimp, fish, duck, pork, ramen, and many other stuff." Naruto said. Well Naruto already prepared dinner many hours ago, this was his way of coping with Christmas every year. Now he can share this meal with someone he cares about.The both of them sat down in the table and started eating. Sakura tasted the food, and she couldn't believe how the food was, she didn't know Naruto was a cook.

"Naruto, this is just unbelieveable, how did you become such a good cook?" Sakura asked with excitement.

"Uh, many many years of cooking for myself, You like it?"

"I love it."

"Thanks." Naruto said with embrassment.

It took them 40 minutes to finish, and then they just sat in Naruto's coach.

"I brought some food over too. Want some Naruto?"

"I'll love to have some." Naruto said with glee.

Sakura unzipped her backpack and took out some tubawear with food in them.

"Ever heard of gingerbread cookies?"

Naruto nodded shooked his head no. How could he, i mean he never had a decent Christmas before, and every decent Christmas has gingerbread cookies. So Sakura opened the tubawear that had the gingerbread cookies in it. She handed Naruto a cookie and he tasted it. This taste was new for him, he loved it. It was better than ramen.

"This is better than ramen, and i love ramen. Give me more, please?" Sakura nodded and gaved him more.

"If you think that was good, try this." Sakura handed him another tubawear with a slice of something.

"What's that?"

"You're kidding me, you never heard of choclate cake before?" Sakura said with shock.

"No."

"Well, it's better than gingerbread cookies." With that remark, Naruto hurried and took a bite of it. His eyes were big and wide, he even like this more than the gingerbread cookies.

"I super love it! Did you make all of this stuff?"

Sakura nodded. "Yes."

"You're awesome at this kind of stuff. Thanks Sakura-chan!"

Sakura blushed, she felt embrassed at that comment. She couldn't help but smile.           "You're sweet. If you must know, it's called baking. Not cooking."

Naruto was shocked, she called him sweet. "I got this stuff called eggnog, wa-" Naruto tried to finish but Sakura dashed to the refridgerator to get some. She loved eggnog, it was her delicacy. "I love eggnog. This stuff is the best, especially with what you're eating right now. Have some Naruto." Naruto nodded and poured some for the both of them.

"I've never had this before, and i gonna tell ya, it's great, but not as great as your baking." Naruto said.

"My baking isn't as good as your cooking Naruto."

Naruto was embrassed, and shocked at the same time. She thinks his cooking is good.

"Naruto, it's getting cold in here, i brought a blanket with."

So the both of them covered up in the blanket. Naruto was smiling. He never had a Chirstmas like this before. Iruka's visit couldn't compare to Sakura's. I mean she gave him treats to eat, and said his cooking was good. Plus it's Sakura, his long time crush.

"Hey Sakura-chan. I'm having a great time. What about you?"

"Me too Naruto. I love your company. Why are you having a good time?" Sakura asked.

"Because you're here. I've never had a better Christmas until this one. " Naruto didn't even hesitate to say that. He said that with his million dollar grin.

Sakura blushed madly, her heart fluttered. That really made her feel special inside.

"Naruto, come closer please? The blanket isn't long enough for us to be sitting so far apart." Sakura was lying, the blanket was long enough. Is she flirting with him? Naruto knew this himself, he knew the blanket was long enough. But he kindly took the offer and cautiously moved closer to her. In the past, he knew he will get his ass kicked to be pulling off this kind of stuff. Naruto stopped at halfway. She shook her head no and told him nonverbally to come more closer. He was blushing even more than usual. So he just followed instructions and moved closer and closer until he can feel one of Sakura's legs and put her hand in front of his face to tell him that's close enough.

"That's good enough Naruto. My neck hurts, can i rest my head on your shoulder?" Sakura asked.

Naruto shooked his head and he was red as red can be. She rested on Naruto's shoulder, But she snuggled on Naruto's neck, also she had her arms in front and in back or Naruto's body. He was enjoying every minute of this.

"I'll be right back." Naruto said as he got up to go to his bedroom.

Sakura was confused. "Did i scare him? I knew it was too soon. I'm such a screw up." Sakura said to herself.

Naruto was in his room, trying to find that damm present. "Was she flirting with me? I mean i'm fine with it. I mean where did it come from? I hope she's not filling the void." Naruto rolls his eyes and grabbed the small square shaped present and put it in his pocket.

Sakura got up as well and grabbed the present she bought for Naruto. "Does he still like me? I mean i gaved him the signal, and he hesitated, oh he still thinks i hate him for what happened. Now i know what to do." She grabbed it and went back to the coach and waited. Naruto came back a few minutes later. He sat back down and his expression changed.

"What's the matter Sakura-chan?"  

"Naruto, do you think i still hate you for what happend?" Sakura was concerned about him.

Naruto's eyes looked away to the other direction, he was about to answer, but he froze and didn't answered that question. Probably he still thinks that she hates him.

"Does a person who hates you gives you this?" Sakura pulled out the present for Naruto.

Naruto's expression changed when he saw it, he looked happy again. Now Naruto was reassured.

"I guess not. You didn't had to do this for me."

"Well i did anyways. Go ahead, open it."

And opening it was what Naruto did, he was mega excited. He was like a little kid, tearing the wrapping until there was none left. It was a pair of denim jeans and a t-shirt.

"You're the first one who has ever given me anything, i really don't know what to say. Thank you Sakura-chan." Naruto said with a smile.

"That's not all, i got you a card too." Sakura said as she gaved Naruto the card. He opened the envelope carefully, and he took out the card and it had a message in it;

"Even though i give you this gift, i still have a long ways to go to repay you for the many things you have done for me. I've never hated you, and i'll never will. You are the closest and very best friends i ever had. Merry Christmas Naruto." Naruto couldn't help but smile and he was on the verge of tears. But these were tears of joy.

"I am?"

Sakura reassured him by giving him a hug. "Of course." And then there was silence, it was like the silence they had many hours ago. "Naruto, there's something i need to tell you,"

"Can it wait for one minute? I also got you something too."

"Y-you got me something again? I guess it can wait." Sakura said.

Naruto pulled out the gift from his pocket. Naruto handed Sakura her gift. Sakura tore the wrapping with one tear. "Oh my god..." Sakura opened the top of the box and it revealed diamond earings. She took a long hard look at it. She was surprised as suprised can get, she cupped her hand.

"Naruto, these are beautiful. I can't believe you got me these." Sakura said with awe. The earings were virtually flawless.

"I'm glad you like them. Now what were you going to tell me?" Naruto said.

Sakura looked back at Naruto and gave him the smile she only gives Naruto.

"Naruto, come closer to me, i have to whisper it to you." Naruto did what she said. Naruto got closer to Sakura until his near enough for her to whisper to him. "I have been so blind, i've always pushed you away like trash. But even after that, you still cared. You were always there for me, making me laugh when i needed cheering up. And always reassuring me when i felt down. Naruto i..."

"What is it Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked.

Sakura got closer to Naruto to the point where she was in front of Naruto's face. "I love you."

Naruto was now having the biggest shock of his life. He was dumbfounded, words couldn't translate what he's feeling right now. "I..." Sakura once again gaved him that smile again. Then Sakura leaned towards Naruto, Naruto was frozen in time. Sakura closed her eyes and a few seconds later; her lips touched Naruto's. Naruto was hesitating, he didn't know what to do. It was only a matter of time before he gaved in, he returned the kiss. It was a soft but unsure kiss. There was very limited movement. This lasted for a minute till Sakura broke the kiss.

"I'm sorry Naruto, i know this is so sudden. Maybe i should leave." Sakura thought she did something wrong, she was about to get up, then Naruto gently grabbed Sakura's arm.

"Sakura-chan, i love you too. I was just wasn't sure if you did, I didn't know if you were making a mistake. I loved you ever since the academy days. I love you mind, body, and spirit, Sakura-chan. "

Sakura looked at him and smiled. Then she lunged at Naruto.

"Thank you, i love you too Naruto-Kun." Naruto nodded. Then they both leaned towards each other and once again they kissed. This time it was more passionate and more sure, because now they know they both love each other. Now Naruto knew what love and the true spirit of Christmas was. This was only a prelude for what's to come; many many happy days together and possibly marriage. But those are stories that are needed to be told another time.
